In urban areas, slums are home to many of the world’s poor forcing families to live in overcrowded inadequate housing with poor sanitation and a lack of access to basic services. By supporting the work of local partners like NGOs, small community and faith-based groups, and partnering with private-sector innovators we are improving access to quality maternal health services and ensuring respectful care.
